Premixes
Premixes are intended to be administered through animal feeding stuffs following careful mixing to ensure a homogenous distribution of the active substance. Veterinary drug premixes are veterinary medicines and therefore require a marketing authorisation.
The incorporation of a premix into a medicated feeding stuff can only be carried out under licence from the
Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine
.
It is not permitted to use premixes as a top-dressing for animal feeds.
