Notification regarding forged American Association of Tissue Bank (AATB) Accreditation Certificates

Issue:

The American Associate of Tissue Banks has learned of at least two instances overseas where forged AATB Accreditation Certificates have allegedly been presented by companies trying to do business with healthcare facilities.  A number of these documents have referred to an unaccredited company in the UK.

All relevant personnel within tissue establishments should be made aware of this issue through circulation of the AATB bulletin and increased vigilance should be undertaken where necessary.
