Reporting a Cosmetic Product Undesirable Effect
Cosmetics are substances used to clean, perfume or enhance the appearance of the human body.
An unintended reaction or injury resulting from the use of a cosmetic product is called an
undesirable effect
.
Undesirable effects range in severity and can potentially damage your health. The types of undesirable effect which may be experienced following use of a cosmetic product are varied. Typical
examples
include allergic reactions such as skin rashes, itching and irritation. Members of the public are advised to seek medical attention if they are concerned in relation to an undesirable effect.
How do I report an undesirable effect?
Members of the public can report an undesirable effect by downloading and completingĀ a
report form
which can then beĀ sent by email to
