Suspended sentences for two men charged in counterfeit and illegal medicine cases

Both men found guilty in separate but connected cases taken by the Irish Medicines Board

The Irish Medicines Board (IMB) today noted that two men received nine (9) month suspended sentences at Dublin District Court (20 February, 2012) for their respective roles in the illegal importation, supply and sale of counterfeit medicines. The men were charged in two separate cases following an investigation by the IMB whose officers had detained illegal and counterfeit erectile dysfunction medicines.
