Chelford childrens ‘5 Face Paint’ set – Safety information for consumers

The Irish Medicines Board has issued a safety notice on Chelford childrens ‘5 Face Paints’ set with stencil (product code TA2212, barcode 5015931122122, batch number 101210), due to safety concerns.

The face paint set contains five paints (black, white, blue, yellow and red), a stencil and two applicators. Tests have found excessive levels of lead in the yellow paint.

If you have this product, do not use it and return the product to the store in which you bought it for a full refund. No undesirable effects or reactions from using face paints have been recorded in Ireland to date. However, exposure to lead should be avoided.
