The Irish Medicines Board has launched 6 patient information leaflets on the safety aspects of medical devices.

The aim of the leaflets is to highlight the key safety issues relating to the use of medical devices and to provide information to the public on specific medical devices such as contact lenses, blood glucose meters and implantable medical devices. The leaflets also provide information on what to do if a medical device does not work or causes harm to the user during use.
