GCP – Good clinical practice
A set of internationally recognised ethical and scientific quality requirements for clinical trials involving humans.


GDP – Good distribution practice
A set of internationally recognised requirements or standards to ensure that products released for distribution are of the appropriate quality.


Generic
A generic medicine is a medicine which has the same active ingredient(s) as a brand name medicine and meets the same standards of safety, quality and effectiveness as the branded medicine.


GLP – Good laboratory practice
A set of internationally recognised requirements or standards which ensure the laboratory work is of high quality.


GMP – Good manufacturing practice
A set of internationally recognised requirements or standards which ensures that products are consistently produced and controlled to the appropriate quality for their intended use.
